On our last day of the painting workshop in Kiawah we were greeted with a day of warmer weather and an extra hour to sleep. Our week centered around the idea of how to paint subtle shifts of color , value, and intensity . Ian Roberts ,our master teacher strongly suggested we feel from the inside instead of just recording what is happening on the outside. Thanks Ian for an inspiring week!gift

Same day but tried different ways to paint the figure in 10 minutes. When faced with short amounts of time I find it is usually best to give up the perfect look and focus on the feeling .
