Line Delight

I am always on the quest to bring in line with my figures.  It is easy to do with ink but painting with  oil and 30 sec. gestures are challenging.   Each color is a different 30 sec. pose.  By changing the color the lines seemed to create movement.  These were sold at a show in Mt. Pleasant.  More to come.

Farewell to Tina

                                  My figurative teacher and dear friend Tina is moving on Sunday for new adventures.   This is a portrait of our lovely model Elizabeth, who suddenly passed away two years ago.    I will always cherish my beginning days at Redux being challenged and supported by you and Elizabeth.
So with a full heart of memories and love I bid you farewell!

             Our theme for May is Mother Nature.    I am including this ink with oil pastel.   The oil is resistant to the ink which allows interesting tonal washes.
