                                                         This ink/charcoal drawing is quite large and the time to complete was short.  At first I was feeling the figure looked incomplete  and then I saw the drawing as"movement in time"which is not about  perfection but about  truth.  # Three of seeking solice.

Minimalism

                                                         My favorite definition of minimalism is: living an intentional life by being authentic to yourself , mindful in your actions, and connected to seeing.   This is the second ink / charcoal drawing for this months theme with the Charleston Artist Collective .  Seeking Solace .

                                          Since  Shem Creek was rather cold I left early to complete this painting  in my studio.  As usual without  reference my expression became brighter and the brush strokes more freeing.

Trisha's Oyster

             
                                                   Trisha has designed her wedding tables with  beautiful oysters all strung together.  Symbolic of union, lowcountry, and grace.   Congratulations!

Hanging Out

                     I had a great treat today .....  Lisa's mom Liz and her friends from the west coast came by for a visit to my studio.   Thank you ladies and have a wonderful lowcountry visit with lots of sun!
