After Scott ran the Kiawah half marathon he was found resting on the white pillow on the porch. Great day. Congratulations to Julia, Scott , and all of the brave runners on Kiawah Island .

Amelia suggested "opening the fruits" in my still life paintings. I think she was right. Have a good weekend. Today marks two months of the Painting One A Day . Thanks again for making this challenge so much fun. Keep the comments or emails coming it is so helpful to learn from you.
I am a native of Charleston , South Carolina. My early artistic expression was through the lens of a camera where it was a passion to capture the unique expressions of the human spirit. That passion is still alive , but through paint brush, ink, and oils. I am most inspired when painting from observation of life and nature.
I am in my third year at The Art Academy University online MFA. My classes have challenged and inspired me more than I ever imagined. I am in my fifth year of being a member of The Charleston Artist Collective online gallery. It has been a great experience to be with a local group of artist who stretch with the monthly themes all the while giving back to our community a percentage of our sales. It is also a pleasure to be showing in a new gallery in Charlottesville, Va. with a talented group of artist from around the country.
