Some of you may recognize The Waiting Lady, a sculpture created by Scott's Uncle Bill . Today my intention was to paint her as part of the composition not as a portrait.
At dusk we ( the painters studying with Ian Roberts) painted the corn fields of Mullet Hall. We had an inspiring week painting from 8 am till the sun went down. .... challenging... yes! fun.. absolutely...
This is the last class until Jan. Thank you Redux for another session of professional models and the best teacher , Townsend. Who brings the greatest music .. see you in Jan. I will be gone for a week painting with Ian Roberts. Will hopefully have plenty to share with you when I get back.
I am a native of Charleston , South Carolina. My early artistic expression was through the lens of a camera where it was a passion to capture the unique expressions of the human spirit. That passion is still alive , but through paint brush, ink, and oils. I am most inspired when painting from observation of life and nature.
I am in my third year at The Art Academy University online MFA. My classes have challenged and inspired me more than I ever imagined. I am in my fifth year of being a member of The Charleston Artist Collective online gallery. It has been a great experience to be with a local group of artist who stretch with the monthly themes all the while giving back to our community a percentage of our sales. It is also a pleasure to be showing in a new gallery in Charlottesville, Va. with a talented group of artist from around the country.
