Katie is still pushing the class to move quickly and paint the whole figure with form and values under 30 minutes. whew..... have a great weekend.

- I am a native of Charleston , South Carolina. My early artistic expression was through the lens of a camera where it was a passion to capture the unique expressions of the human spirit. That passion is still alive , but through paint brush,ink, and oils. I am most inspired when painting from observation of life and nature. I am in my third year at The Art Academy University online MFA. My classes have challenged and inspired me more than I ever imagined. I am in my fifth year of being a member of The Charleston Artist Collective online gallery. It has been a great experience to be with a local group of artist who stretch with the monthly themes all the while giving back to our community a percentage of our sales. It is also a pleasure to be showing in a new gallery in Charlottesville, Va. with a talented group of artist from around the country.

30 minutes or less? Wow! Your work has really evolved. Please tell your Dad thank you for the incredible op-ed piece he wrote this week. My son is waiting for those services, and it's nice to know that there is a community behind him.
