Orange Scarf
From a three day workshop on the figure. This is a 8x8 canvas. I started with a contour outline and added color . In order to keep it fresh I worked the paint application with a large brush . My goal was to just apply the paint and leave it
I am a native of Charleston , South Carolina. My early artistic expression was through the lens of a camera where it was a passion to capture the unique expressions of the human spirit. That passion is still alive , but through paint brush, ink, and oils. I am most inspired when painting from observation of life and nature.
I am in my third year at The Art Academy University online MFA. My classes have challenged and inspired me more than I ever imagined. I am in my fifth year of being a member of The Charleston Artist Collective online gallery. It has been a great experience to be with a local group of artist who stretch with the monthly themes all the while giving back to our community a percentage of our sales. It is also a pleasure to be showing in a new gallery in Charlottesville, Va. with a talented group of artist from around the country.
