This is a painting I will always cherish . It is of Elizabeth who loved the Thurs . morning figure drawing group and gave us all so much encouragement. She sadly passed away this week . With love and gratitude.

I have painted this painting of Amelia several times over the past 10 years. Recently looking at some of Robert Henri's paintings I have introduced more vibrant colors.

Allison has challenged the Charleston Artist Collective to paint on paper . I chose ink on a stick and brush. water crayons and dead flowers in a blue can. Totally freeing.

Gesture With Hat.

Inspired by Bob Burridge.. I tried painting with a stick from the yard. ( most liberating) and direct brush strokes . This is about 40x 48 much larger that my usual smaller studies.
