I enjoyed painting this for a dear friend. From the toe in the water to her hands stretched to the sky it just says " summer joy " . sold

- Anne Darby Parker
- I am a native of Charleston , South Carolina. My early artistic expression was through the lens of a camera where it was a passion to capture the unique expressions of the human spirit. That passion is still alive , but through paint brush,ink, and oils. I am most inspired when painting from observation of life and nature. I am in my third year at The Art Academy University online MFA. My classes have challenged and inspired me more than I ever imagined. I am in my fifth year of being a member of The Charleston Artist Collective online gallery. It has been a great experience to be with a local group of artist who stretch with the monthly themes all the while giving back to our community a percentage of our sales. It is also a pleasure to be showing in a new gallery in Charlottesville, Va. with a talented group of artist from around the country.

Anne! I LOVE this! Summer Joy is right! This painting evokes such joyous emotions, no wonder it sold. it simply makes the viewer feel good!
