Dear Anne, I love your paintings!!! When you were first beginning your photography of children in Cambridge, I brought my daughter, Sarah Parker, over as a trial session, and those early photos you took are still some of my favorites. Sarah is now 28, and has just arrived to live in Charleston. She was working as a personal chef in NYC having attended the Natural Gourmet Institute, and was ready for a better quality of life which directed her to beautiful Charleston. My mother-in-law, Katty Knott, grew up there, and Sarah is temporarily settled into her sweet little house at 10 water street. Katty died three years ago, but her children have not been able to let her house go and I think we will visit there more and more. I know Sarah would love to meet you. She just posted one of your photos on my facebook for Mother's day. I wonder if you are in touch with Lynn Willets? Also Kim Allsopp is a friend. Please email me if you have time. I would to see you when we are down that way, and for Sarah to meet you. Her email is parker2105@gmail.com I hope you are all well! Barb Parker 978-884-1027 (c)
I am a native of Charleston , South Carolina. My early artistic expression was through the lens of a camera where it was a passion to capture the unique expressions of the human spirit. That passion is still alive , but through paint brush, ink, and oils. I am most inspired when painting from observation of life and nature.
I am in my third year at The Art Academy University online MFA. My classes have challenged and inspired me more than I ever imagined. I am in my fifth year of being a member of The Charleston Artist Collective online gallery. It has been a great experience to be with a local group of artist who stretch with the monthly themes all the while giving back to our community a percentage of our sales. It is also a pleasure to be showing in a new gallery in Charlottesville, Va. with a talented group of artist from around the country.
