                                                    For some reason I am really into greys and neutrals.   This is going on an online gallery called Chairish.   We will see what happens.   Its hot in Charleston!

Figure Medley

    This is one model with four different poses.   The gestures were one minute so I painted later in my studio.   I like how this one stayed fresh and the limited palette feels calming.

Color Patch

                              Once in awhile things just work out.   New board that will take pencil and oil paint.  It is very smooth so I could  move quickly to keep the paint in flow and fresh.   Have to keep this for awhile to see if I can learn from it.

Unity of Nine

     This is going to an auction to raise money for the families of the AME church in Charleston SC.     It still gives me chills when reflect on the day I painted this in Colorado .... no cell service and my sister by my side.   The teacher at the workshop suggested trying a new way of seeing and feeling paint .... just let the paint speak to you...so I did... ..  I painted this a week before the tragedy .... I had packed a small zerox copy of  Vivian's church in prayer and took it for inspiration.    When I was asked by Allison Williamson, ( Charleston Artist Collective)  if she could use this painting  for an article in the Huffington Post we both realized  it had nine people in it.  Suddenly this small painting took on a deeper meaning.     Thought I would share with you .... thanks, Anne

Final for Chiaroscuro

                                            Completed my last assignment for Chiaroscuro.  This is all charcoal ....  Different sizes, with a five value system that creates volume and perspective.
