Moss and Flowers.
Challenging yes. Magnolia Plantation has an atmosphere of being graceful and timeless. The many grey tones of moss allows an interesting background for eager vibrant blooms of spring.
I like what you did to "finish" this piece. What a wonderful progression and transition. You need to have a video stream of your "starts" to "finishes" how fun would that be???!!
I am a native of Charleston , South Carolina. My early artistic expression was through the lens of a camera where it was a passion to capture the unique expressions of the human spirit. That passion is still alive , but through paint brush, ink, and oils. I am most inspired when painting from observation of life and nature.
I am in my third year at The Art Academy University online MFA. My classes have challenged and inspired me more than I ever imagined. I am in my fifth year of being a member of The Charleston Artist Collective online gallery. It has been a great experience to be with a local group of artist who stretch with the monthly themes all the while giving back to our community a percentage of our sales. It is also a pleasure to be showing in a new gallery in Charlottesville, Va. with a talented group of artist from around the country.

Hey Anne,
Great painting. I like the way gray tones, and darker background values in general, push the lights. The lights are the icing on the cake for me.
Have a blessed week this Easter. Can't wait for Easter's full moon, always so majestic.
